Mink Eyelash Extensions - First Impression

I'd like to start with the fact that even though I'm a hoarder when it comes to beauty and skincare products, I've never been the same about beauty services.

For example, I've had my manicure done in a salon 3 times in my life, and neither one of those was an enjoyable experience. Infections, nails that started chipping 2 hours after I've had them done are just some of the issues I faced. Also, I've never had a facial in a salon. NEVER. I've been shaping my eyebrows since I was 11, and I'm sure it'll stay that way in the future.

The SPA in which Esthetic-Lines is located at has a new cosmetologist who offers waxing services and eyelash extensions. I've met Maria just because our rooms are located next to each other and fell in love with her immediately. She's kind, passionate about her work and you can see on her skin she's good at what she does.

I saw that through the month of November she's offering Mink Eyelash Extensions to first time clients for $65 instead of $125 and decided I'll call her and set up an appointment, even if just for the sake of a blog post.

What I've expected: increased eye sensitivity, heaviness from the extra eyelashes added, visible glue etc.
What I've received: Excellent service!

I chose to go with a more natural look, as I'm not a huge fan of big eyelashes anyway. My eyes were not sensitive at all and I felt very comfortable throughout the procedure. These truly feel like my own lashes.

She said that they can last up to 5 weeks, but if you want to continue refilling them, you can come in at about the 4 week mark. The procedure takes about 1.5-2 hours.

After researching eyelash extensions a bit more, I've realized around the area they cost about $200-$300 / initial application, so even the full price she's charging is a steal.

Here are some pictures before/after I've had them done.

I will update this post in the beginning of December and tell you my overall thoughts.
Here's the flyer I got her phone number from.

Update: Most of the lashes lasted for about 2-3 weeks. While I did like the effect, it is not something I would choose to have done frequently. I would recommend this to women with short, sparse lashes and also ones who like applying little to no eye makeup.
