Sunday Juicing -1

One of my best friends asked me the other day when am I going to post anything "nutrition" related, if I decided that it's going to be a theme of my blog. I guess the answer, as the title says it, is "sometimes..."

Here's a juice I've made this morning before starting my day. There was honestly not much thought put into it. I've just looked at the fruits and veggies I had around the house knowing I wanted something light, sour and refreshing. This is what I came up with:

Ingredients

  • 2 medium-sized grapefruits
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 large cucumber
  • a small piece of ginger
I've added some crushed ice into the mason jar, juiced all the ingredients in the listed order and added a little bit more ice on the top to keep everything cool.

Main skin benefits of the ingredients used:

  • Grapefruits - the vitamin C contained in grapefruits stimulates the production of collagen and refreshes the skin
  • Carrots - help repair skin tissue and protect against sun damage - great to add in your juices if you know you'll be in the sun, or if you like tanning (please don't stay in the sun too much)
  • Cucumbers - containing 95% water it keeps your skin and body hydrated
  • Ginger - eliminates toxins from the skin and improves blood circulation

Have a great week and stay healthy
